BEFORE YOU HIT SEND

Email Marketing questions, answered.

What is the difference between contacts and email sends?

Contacts are the people on your list. Email sends count the individual messages you send to them. Sending one campaign to 500 contacts uses 500 email sends; sending four campaigns to that same list uses 2,000.

Which plan should I choose?

Compare your contact count with how often you want to send. Beginner fits a list of up to 500 contacts. Up & Running raises that limit to 2,500 and adds welcome emails. Pro supports up to 5,000 contacts and adds automated campaigns.

Is this the same as a business email account?

Email Marketing is for newsletters and campaigns sent to a subscriber list. A business email account is for everyday conversations with customers and colleagues. Explore Microsoft 365 email if you need an address at your domain.

Can I welcome new subscribers automatically?

Yes. Up & Running and Pro include an automated welcome email. Pro also includes automated email campaigns and event emails.

How should I build my list?

Invite people to sign up and tell them what to expect. Use contacts who have agreed to receive your marketing, keep your list current and respect unsubscribe requests.

What if I need help choosing?
